"..for we are beautifully and wonderfully made..."

#Empowered

Empowerment – The process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights.

Think back on your teenage years. For me, socially awkward, quirky, and introverted in so many aspects.  My mother died at a very young age, so identity, self-esteem, and strength were not a part of my vernacular. But God!  But God! Despite any circumstance, God always placed a song in my heart, strength in my walk, and developed a character that reflected Him most.  Was it easy? No! Did I trip, fall, stumble and cry along the way. Yes!

Our identity lies in Christ Jesus and in Him alone. As you reflect on your teen years, does your trajectory reflect a path surrounded by significant resources, mentors, and/or people who believed in you? Or does it reflect low self-esteem, rejection, anxiety, and wrong choices? How did you survive?

During the Christmas season, LFCF is launching a #BornBeautifulLFCF Campaign to bless into the lives of 13 to 17-year-old girls and we are inviting you to join in our efforts.  The theme: EMPOWERED.

The message extends beyond handing out gifts. EMPOWERED!  We want to bless them materially, but most importantly, give them the proper tools to know who they are, why they are essential, beautiful, and significant. If you would like to be a part of something bigger than yourself, ‘Team Empowerment,’ then join us. We are in the process of collecting items to bless our girls.
