My Story

Nardalyn N. Johnson, MSN, RN-BC

joshuamissioneducation@gmail.com

Knowing God's plan for my life is important.  After graduating from the Immaculate Conception High School in Kingston, Jamaica, I was offered the opportunity to pursue higher education in the United States.  Higher Education has changed my life forever, and now I welcome the opportunity to give back to others (similar to what was given to me).

After migrating from Jamaica, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a bachelor's in nursing (BSN) and a bachelor's in business administration (BBA), then went on to complete my master's degree in nursing (MSN) at Alverno College (Milwaukee, WI).  I also have an Associate degree in Total Quality Management from the Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, WI.  Currently, I am a certified Nurse Informaticist and Consultant, assisting hospitals throughout the United States with the implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of the electronic health record (EHR) system.

I strongly believe that education is the key to success.  I can identify with the late Jamaican national hero Marcus Mosiah Garvey when he said that, "it is by education that we become prepared for our duties and responsibilities in life."  This is the reason that I am part of this education mission to Jamaica.  By providing educational and other essential supplies to the children, we are helping to prepare them for their duties and responsibilities in the future.

In partnership with The Love Family Christian Foundation Joshua Ministries,  and the Pentecostal City Mission, we are joining together to provide  basic educational tools needed by the children to achieve academic excellence in Jamaica.  Instead of just "giving them a fish", our goal is to provide the tools and "teach them how to fish."  In doing so, they will become self-sufficient providing for themselves, their family, and their community.
